Introduction

The JODY-W3 series consists of compact modules based on the NXP AW690/88Q9098/88W9098 chipset. These modules support Wi-Fi, Classic Bluetooth (BR/EDR), and Bluetooth Low Energy (LE) communications, making them ideal for automotive infotainment and telematics applications requiring high data rates, such as in-vehicle hotspots, Wi-Fi display applications like Apple CarPlay, and multi-client video streaming. JODY-W3 modules can operate in the following modes:

• 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax with Wi-Fi 1x1 and 2x2 in 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands
• Concurrent dual Wi-Fi operation with independent MACs, supporting simultaneous Wi-Fi network operation on two different bands
• Dual-mode Bluetooth (BR/EDR and LE) operable concurrently with Wi-Fi

The host processor connects via various interfaces, including PCIe or SDIO for Wi-Fi and a high-speed UART for Bluetooth.

JODY-W3 modules have undergone extended qualification testing per the u-blox qualification policy based on AEC-Q104, and are manufactured in accordance with ISO/TS 16949 AEC-Q104. These modules comply with the Bluetooth Core 5.3 specification.
