Introduction

The Shenzhen Xin Chi Da Bluetooth module RF-BM-4044B3 is a BLE RF module developed based on the CC2640R2FRSM chip, widely applicable in short-range wireless communication. It features low power consumption, compact size, long transmission range, and strong anti-interference capability.

The module supports development of Bluetooth 5 (BLE 5)-based consumer electronics and mobile peripheral products, providing a rapid BLE solution for communication between customer products and smart mobile devices. The module series incorporates a 32-bit ARM Cortex-M3 processor running at 24 MHz — the same frequency as the main processor — along with a rich peripheral feature set, including a unique ultra-low-power sensor controller designed for interfacing with external sensors and/or autonomously acquiring analog and digital data while the system is in sleep mode.

The Bluetooth Low Energy controller is embedded in ROM and runs independently on an ARM Cortex-M0 processor. This architecture improves overall system performance and power efficiency while freeing up flash memory for application use.

This module type is developed for the BLE 5.0 protocol stack to meet market demands, offering 2× the communication speed, 4× the communication range, and 8× the advertising data throughput compared to BLE 4.2 modules. Acting as a bridge between smart mobile devices and peripherals, it significantly simplifies host-side application development. In bridge mode (UART), existing products or solutions paired with this transparent transmission module can easily communicate with mobile devices (supporting Bluetooth 5.0 and below), enabling powerful intelligent control and management.

The RF-BM-4044B2, RF-BM-4044B3, and RF-BM-4044B4 BLE modules use TI's CC2640R2F as the core processor. Operating in the 2.4 GHz ISM band with GFSK modulation, the modules support 40 channels with a maximum 2 MHz channel spacing, custom advertising packets up to 232 bytes, 3 fixed advertising channels, 37 adaptive frequency-hopping data channels, and a physical layer combinable with Classic Bluetooth RF for dual-mode devices. Selectable 1 MHz and 2 MHz channel spacing provides better adjacent-channel interference rejection. Output power is adjustable from -21 dBm to +2 dBm, with a receive sensitivity of -97 dBm.
