Introduction

The Bluetooth module RF-BM-4044B4 is a BLE RF module developed based on the CC2640R2FRSM chip, widely applicable in short-range wireless communication. It features low power consumption, compact size, long transmission range, and strong anti-interference capability. This module supports the development of Bluetooth 5 (BLE 5)-based consumer electronics and mobile peripheral products, providing customers with a rapid BLE solution for communication between their products and smart mobile devices. The module series integrates a 32-bit ARM Cortex-M3 processor running at the same 24 MHz frequency as the main processor, offering a rich peripheral feature set — including a unique ultra-low-power sensor controller designed for interfacing with external sensors and/or autonomously acquiring analog and digital data while the system is in sleep mode. The Bluetooth Low Energy controller is embedded in ROM and runs independently on an ARM Cortex-M0 processor. This architecture improves overall system performance and power efficiency while freeing up flash memory for applications. This module type is developed for the BLE 5.0 protocol stack to meet market demands, delivering 2× the communication speed, 4× the communication range, and 8× the advertising data throughput compared to BLE 4.2 modules. Acting as a bridge between smart mobile devices and peripheral products, it greatly simplifies host-side application development. In bridge mode (UART), existing products or solutions can easily communicate with mobile devices (supporting Bluetooth 5.0 and below) using this transparent transmission module, enabling powerful intelligent control and management. This module is designed to rapidly bridge electronic products with smart mobile devices, making it broadly applicable across a wide range of electronics requiring such connectivity.
