Introduction
DL-CC2340-B is a low-power Bluetooth module designed around the TI SimpleLink wireless series CC2340R5 BLE chip. The module features an integrated PCB antenna, a compact form factor (20-pin, 18×12mm), and 15 I/O pins. It comes with fully-featured firmware accessible via AT commands, supporting both peripheral and central device integration. In AT configuration mode, it can perform scanning, advertising, auto-connection, and service discovery. During a connection, PHY, MTU, and connection parameters can be modified for better control over throughput and power consumption. Transparent transmission for both server and client roles is supported over the BLE GATT transport layer, along with auto-connection and pre-configuration of connection parameters. An external MCU only needs a UART interface to handle Bluetooth configuration and transparent transmission mode, making BLE development more accessible. The TI CC2340R chip features a 48MHz Cortex-M0+ core with an active power consumption of only 53μA/MHz, and integrates up to 512KB flash and 36KB SRAM, delivering low power consumption and excellent functional performance. In addition, the module incorporates a 48MHz external high-speed clock with 10ppm accuracy and a 32.768kHz external low-speed clock, ensuring more stable Bluetooth connectivity. On the RF side, an integrated RF balun simplifies RF design and reduces power consumption. With optimized harmonic and RF matching, the TX current is only 5.1mA, RX current is 5.3mA, and transmit power is 0dBm. Typical sensitivity reaches up to -96.5dBm at 1Mbps, with a maximum output power of +8dBm. These excellent power metrics make it well-suited for battery-powered and other low-power applications. To comply with RF power limit regulations across different regions, the module's output power is also adjustable (from -21dBm to +8dBm).
