Introduction

The CC1121 is a fully integrated single-chip RF transceiver designed for high performance with ultra-low power consumption and low-voltage operation in cost-effective wireless systems. All filters are integrated, eliminating the need for expensive external SAW and IF filters. The device is primarily intended for use in ISM and SRD (Short Range Device) frequency bands at 274–320 MHz, 410–480 MHz, and 820–960 MHz.

The CC1121 provides extensive hardware support for packet handling, data buffering, burst transmission, clear channel assessment, link quality indication, and wake-on-radio. The main operating parameters of the CC1121 are configurable via the SPI interface. In a typical system, the CC1121 is used together with a microcontroller and a minimal number of external passive components.
