Introduction

The CC1020 is a true single-chip UHF transceiver designed for very low-power, very low-voltage wireless applications. It is primarily intended for use in the ISM (Industrial, Scientific and Medical) and SRD (Short Range Device) bands at 402, 424, 426, 429, 433, 447, 449, 469, 868, and 915 MHz, and can be easily programmed for multi-channel operation at other frequencies in the 402 to 470 MHz and 804 to 930 MHz bands. The CC1020 is particularly suited for narrowband systems with channel spacing of 12.5 or 25 kHz, compliant with ARIB STD-T67 and EN 300220 standards. The key operating parameters of the CC1020 can be programmed via a serial bus, making it a highly flexible and easy-to-use transceiver. In a typical system, the CC1020 is used together with a microcontroller and a few external passive components.
