Introduction

The Silicon Labs WF200 is an ultra-low-power Wi-Fi transceiver or network co-processor designed for critical applications with stringent requirements for RF performance, low power consumption, secure end-to-end solutions, and rapid time-to-market. The device integrates a balun, T/R switch, LNA, and PA to achieve RF performance, and supports coexistence with other external 2.4GHz radios. The WF200 is optimized at the RF, protocol, and firmware levels for resource- and power-constrained devices, enabling power-sensitive devices to leverage these features in both active and sleep modes. For security-conscious applications, the WF200 provides secure boot and a securely encrypted host interface, delivering robust security through an integrated native TRNG and OTP memory for storing confidential cryptographic keys. The WF200 is well-suited for Linux-based and RTOS-based host processors, supports 802.11 low-layer MAC and full MAC architectures, and communicates with external host controllers via SPI or SDIO interfaces.
