Introduction

The STM32WL33xx is a high-performance, ultra-low-power wireless application processor designed for sub-1 GHz RF wireless applications, intended to operate in unlicensed ISM and SRD bands such as 432, 868, and 915 MHz. It features a single-core architecture integrating a 32-bit Cortex-M0+ processor running at up to 64 MHz. It incorporates high-speed, flexible memory types: up to 256 KB Flash, up to 32 KB RAM, and a 1 KB OTP memory region. The device integrates a rich set of peripherals, including a 20-pin LCD driver, 12-bit 8-channel ADC, analog comparator, DAC, LC sensor controller, RTC, independent watchdog, general-purpose timers, AES-128 encryption module, random number generator, CRC module, and communication interfaces such as USART, SPI, and I2C. Additionally, its security features support secure boot via the USART/SWD block, with the ability to store sensitive information in Flash. Through the DMAMUX peripheral, seven DMA channels with fully flexible channel mapping are supported, enabling direct data transfers between memory and peripherals as well as memory-to-memory transfers. It can be configured to support either standalone application or network processor applications.
