Introduction

The DA14535 is an ultra-low-power system-on-chip integrating a 2.4 GHz transceiver and an Arm Cortex-M0+ microcontroller, with 64 kB RAM and 12 kB one-time programmable memory. It can operate as a standalone application processor or as a data pump in a hosted system. Ultra-low power consumption is achieved through an integrated low quiescent current buck/boost DC-DC converter that operates during sleep. The radio transceiver, baseband processor, and certified Bluetooth Low Energy stack are fully compliant with Bluetooth 5.3. The device features dedicated hardware for implementing the Bluetooth Low Energy link layer and an interface controller for enhanced connectivity. Its Bluetooth Low Energy firmware includes L2CAP service layer protocol, Security Manager, Attribute Protocol, Generic Attribute Profile, and Generic Access Profile. All profiles published by the Bluetooth SIG as well as custom profiles are supported. The device is suitable for disposables, wireless sensor nodes, beacons, proximity tags and trackers, smart HID devices, toys, and medical and industrial applications.
