Introduction

The HMC678LC3C is a 2:1 selector designed to support data rates up to 13 Gbps and select port operation up to 13 GHz. The selector routes one of two single-ended inputs to a differential output based on the state of the select port. The HMC678LC3C also features an output level control pin VR, which can be used for loss compensation or signal level optimization.

All single-ended input signals of the HMC678LC3C are terminated on-chip to ground through 50 ohms and can be AC- or DC-coupled. The HMC678LC3C output can operate in differential or single-ended mode. The output can be directly connected to a 50-ohm terminated system; if the 50-ohm termination is connected to a non-ground DC voltage, DC-blocking capacitors may be used. The HMC678LC3C operates from a single -3.3 V DC supply and is available in a RoHS-compliant 3×3 mm SMT ceramic package.
