Introduction

The MASW-011071 is a terminated silicon PIN diode SPDT switch designed for X-band high-power, high-performance applications. The switch is housed in a lead-free 7 mm 44-pin PQFN plastic package and can handle over 20 W of CW power in the 8.0 to 10.5 GHz frequency band. The device is fabricated using MACOM's proprietary HMIC process, which allows integration of a silicon substrate with series and shunt diodes embedded in low-loss, low-dispersion glass. The switch offers 1 dB insertion loss and 38 dB isolation. An integrated bias network simplifies bias application and switch control.
