Introduction

The Quectel LC76G series GNSS module is based on the latest enhanced chipset, supporting simultaneous reception of GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, and QZSS signals. The series is designed to be compatible with the Quectel L76 module for seamless migration. Compared to single-constellation receivers, by enabling multiple GNSS constellations, the LC76G series increases the number of visible satellites, reduces Time To First Fix (TTFF), and improves positioning accuracy, especially when traversing dense urban canyons. The integrated LNA provides high sensitivity, enabling high-precision positioning, fast signal tracking and acquisition, and outstanding module performance even in challenging environments. By combining EASY (Embedded Assist System) — an advanced self-generated assisted GNSS feature — with ALP* (GNSS low-power) mode, the LC76G series achieves high performance and low power consumption while meeting industry standards. EASY technology allows the module to automatically calculate and predict orbits using ephemeris data stored in internal RAM (up to 3 days). As a result, the LC76G series enables fast positioning at low power consumption even under lower signal levels. Furthermore, with ALP* technology, the LC76G series can adaptively adjust on/off timing based on environmental and motion conditions to strike a balance between positioning accuracy and power consumption. Based on its enhanced performance, the LC76G series is well suited for both consumer and industrial applications. Its ultra-low power consumption makes it the preferred solution for power-sensitive applications such as toll tags, emergency beacons, and battery-powered container, pallet, or animal trackers.
