Introduction

HMC1057 is a sub-harmonically pumped MMIC mixer that can be used as an image reject mixer (IRM) or single-sideband upconverter. This passive MMIC mixer is fabricated using GaAs Schottky diode technology. For downconversion applications, an external quadrature hybrid can be used to select the desired sideband while rejecting the image signal. All pads and the chip backside feature Ti/Au metallization, and the Schottky devices are fully passivated to ensure reliable operation. All data shown here was measured in a 50-ohm environment via RF probe contact on the die.
