Introduction
HMC1063LP3E is a compact I/Q monolithic microwave integrated circuit mixer in a leadless "lead-free" surface mount package, usable as an image rejection mixer or single sideband upconverter. The mixer employs two standard Hittite double-balanced mixer cells and a 90-degree hybrid fabricated in GaAs Schottky diode process. A low-frequency quadrature hybrid is used to produce an LSB IF output at 1000 MHz. The product offers a smaller footprint compared to hybrid image rejection mixer and single sideband upconverter assemblies. The HMC1063LP3E requires no wire bonding and is compatible with SMT manufacturing techniques.
