Introduction

The ZETA Codec chipset provides an extremely simplified approach to wireless communication, eliminating the need to laboriously configure hundreds of registers or design RF matching networks. By combining the ZETA Codec with RF Solutions' low-cost ZETA modules, simply select the desired frequency and begin transmitting and receiving data via SPI or UART — no RF expertise required, delivering simple and robust communication. The ZETA Codec operates via SPI, enabling synchronized, straightforward industry-standard communication between two remote points, making RF design integration into circuits simpler and faster than ever. Simply pass data to the ZETA Codec through the SPI interface, and it will seamlessly transmit to the remote counterpart device, with an interrupt notification issued when data is ready for retrieval. No external peripheral components are required — simply connect the ZETA Codec to a ZETA RF module, add an antenna, and begin wireless communication over a range exceeding 2 km. In addition, the ZETA Codec includes a standard low-level UART interface via its LVTTL TX and RX pins, enabling point-to-point RS232 communication. This can be used as an alternative to SPI communication, though with less effectiveness than SPI.
