Introduction

This device is a low-cost, ultra-thin, ultra-compact high-performance 4dB directional coupler in a novel, easy-to-use, manufacturing-friendly SMT package. It is designed for applications in the 1700-2300 MHz band, including 5G applications. The device is particularly suited for power and frequency detection and return loss monitoring where tight coupling and low insertion loss are required. It can be used in high-power applications up to 5W. The device has undergone rigorous qualification testing and is manufactured using materials with CTE compatibility with common substrates such as FR-4, G-10, RF-35, RO4003, and polyimide. The product is finished with an immersion tin process compliant with RoHS 6/6.
