Introduction

ARW28340 is a low-power, monolithic, wideband, high-accuracy RMS logarithmic detector IC featuring an all-new design optimized for power consumption, ESD protection, and performance across wide temperature extremes, delivering industry-leading specifications. The chip accurately converts the RMS power of an RF input signal to a corresponding log-linear voltage output, independent of peak-to-average variations, enabling precise RF power measurement and control across multiple wireless communication standards including CW, LTE, 5G NR, 5G-A, and Wi-Fi. It operates over a frequency range of 0.01~10GHz, with a typical dynamic range of 40dB at room temperature, low logarithmic error, and low power consumption. Housed in a 3mm×2mm DFN8 package with a single-ended RF input requiring no external balun, the device is easy to use and well suited for applications including mobile cellular systems, small cells and repeaters, portable RMS power meters, CATV/DVB transmitters, MIMO wireless access, and wireless relay systems.
