Introduction

Bolt multi-band low-profile antenna supporting GPS (L5), GPS (L1), Galileo (E1), GLONASS (G1), and BeiDou (B1), a permanently mounted antenna with high out-of-band rejection capability. The A.85 Bolt L1 and L5 GNSS permanently mounted antenna features a highly efficient (>60%) patch antenna, tuned within the housing for optimal performance to maximize signal quality. The internal LNA has an extremely low noise figure, maintaining excellent signal quality throughout the signal chain. The signal chain also incorporates carefully selected and positioned SAW filters that together achieve very sharp signal attenuation outside the intended frequency bands without negatively impacting in-band signal quality. The A.85 provides excellent rejection at all non-GNSS frequencies, protecting GPS receivers from overload or damage. For example, at the 850/900 MHz cellular bands, the A.85 achieves rejection greater than 50 dB; at the 1800/1900 MHz cellular bands, rejection exceeds 65 dB, delivering best-in-class performance in the presence of out-of-band interference. Despite its exceptional out-of-band attenuation, the A.85 maintains a low noise figure of 4 dB and high gain of greater than 21 dB, making it an ideal solution for high cable loss challenges in long-cable applications.
