Introduction

HMC-C072 is a GaAs HBT ultra-low noise amplifier in a miniature hermetic module design, operating over the 6 to 12 GHz frequency range. This high dynamic range amplifier module delivers 11 dB gain, 4.5 dB noise figure, and output power up to 23 dBm, powered by a single +7V supply. Its ultra-low phase noise contribution of -167 dBc/Hz at 1 kHz offset enables superior modulation accuracy in transceiver architectures. The input/output ports of the wideband distributed amplifier are internally matched to 50 ohms and DC-blocked for robust performance. The module is supplied with removable SMA connectors that can be detached to allow direct 1/8-pin connection to microstrip or coplanar circuits.
