Introduction

The SKY67023-396LF is a GaAs pHEMT LNA featuring active bias and high linearity performance. The advanced GaAs pHEMT enhancement-mode process delivers excellent return loss, low noise, and high linearity. An internal active bias circuit maintains stable performance over temperature and process variations. The device allows external adjustment of supply current and gain. Supply voltage is applied to the RFOUT/VDD pin through an RF choke inductor. Pin 3 (VBIAS) should be connected to RFOUT/VDD via an external resistor to control supply current. The RFIN and RFOUT/VDD pins must be DC-blocked for proper operation. The SKY67023-396LF operates over a frequency range of 2.2 to 3.0 GHz. For lower frequency operation, the pin-compatible SKY67022-396LF or SKY67021-396LF may be used. This LNA is housed in a compact 2×2 mm, 8-pin Dual Flat No-lead (DFN) package. The functional block diagram is shown in Figure 1, and the pin configuration and package are illustrated in Figure 2. Table 1 provides the signal pin assignments and functional pin descriptions.
