Introduction

CMX90G702 is a low-power 50Ω gain module designed for various wireless applications operating in the 6–18 GHz frequency range. This gain module features a +2 dB positive gain slope across the 6–16 GHz band, eliminating the need for equalization while compensating for system insertion loss that increases with frequency. The CMX90G702 is highly integrated and easy to use, minimizing external component count and board area. RF ports are on-chip matched to 50Ω with an output DC blocking capacitor. An active bias circuit with enable functionality allows the device to operate over a wide supply voltage range of 2V to 5V, with a typical current draw of 22 mA. Fabricated using GaAs pHEMT process technology, the device combines high linearity, low noise, and low DC power consumption. For applications requiring less gain slope compensation, an alternative device CMX90G701 is available. Housed in a 3×3 mm VQFN-16 package.
