Introduction

The A81-1 RF amplifier uses a discrete hybrid design with thin-film fabrication technology to achieve precise performance and high reliability. This two-stage silicon bipolar feedback amplifier is designed to deliver excellent performance over a wide frequency band. Isolation transformers are used in the feedback loop, offering the advantage of high reverse isolation. Both the TO-8 and surface-mount packages are hermetically sealed. Electrical specifications: Z₀ = 50 Ω, Vcc = 15 VDC. Thermal data at absolute maximum ratings: Vcc = 15 VDC. Typical performance curves include gain, noise figure, 1 dB gain compression output power, intercept point, and VSWR. Model CA81-1 performance is guaranteed over the temperature range of 0°C to 50°C.
