Introduction

PMA3-5153+ is a pHEMT-based broadband, ultra-low-noise MMIC amplifier featuring high IP3, flat gain, and voltage-controlled shutdown. The amplifier operates from 5.5 to 15.5 GHz with high dynamic range, offering a typical noise figure of 1.2 dB, gain of 21.5 dB, P1dB of +17 dBm, and OIP3 of +28.4 dBm. This combination of characteristics makes it well suited for high-sensitivity, high-dynamic-range receiver applications. The device incorporates internal DC blocking and grounded DC paths at the RF input and output ports for ESD protection. The PMA3-5153+ operates from a single +5 V supply, is well matched to 50 Ω, and is housed in a compact, low-profile 3×3 mm QFN package for easy integration into dense PCB layouts.
