Introduction

This single-pole, normally open solid-state power relay is rated for a continuous load current of 1.6Aᵣₘₛ when fitted with a 5℃/W heatsink. It employs optocoupled MOSFET technology, providing 2500Vᵣₘₛ input-to-output isolation. The output is controlled by a high-efficiency infrared LED using the patented OptoMOS architecture. The combination of low on-resistance and high load current handling capability makes it suitable for a wide range of high-performance switching applications. The unique i4-PAC package enables the solid-state relay to achieve the highest load current and power ratings. This package uses a specialized process that soft-solders the silicon die directly onto a direct bonded copper ceramic substrate, rather than a conventional copper lead frame. This ceramic substrate not only provides 2500Vᵣₘₛ isolation, but also delivers exceptionally low junction-to-case thermal resistance.
