Introduction

Clare and IXYS jointly introduced a new high-power solid-state relay series utilizing OptoMOS technology, combining reliability with a compact footprint. The CPC1973Y is a 1-Form-A solid-state relay in this series, employing optically coupled MOSFET technology with 2500Vrms input-to-output isolation. The high-efficiency MOSFET switch and photovoltaic die incorporate Clare's patented OptoMOS architecture, with input control via a high-efficiency GaAlAs infrared LED. The combination of low on-resistance and high load current handling capability makes this relay suitable for a wide range of high-performance switching applications.
