Introduction

Specially designed to provide a 7mm pitch between the two output pins, the IXYS Integrated Circuits PLA171 is a single-pole normally open (1-Form-A) solid-state relay utilizing optically coupled MOSFET technology to deliver enhanced 5000 Vrms input-to-output isolation. Its optically coupled output employs the patented OptoMOS architecture and is controlled by a high-efficiency infrared LED. The PLA171 is designed to replace electromechanical relays while offering improved reliability. The device achieves bounce-free switching in a compact SMT package.
