Introduction

To meet the requirements for electrical control components used in Class 1E service at nuclear power plants, AGASTAT control relays have been tested for these applications. The EGP, EML, and ETR series have been demonstrated to comply with IEEE Standard 323-1974 (Standard for Qualifying Class 1E Equipment for Nuclear Power Generating Stations) and IEEE Standard 344-1975 (Recommended Practice for Seismic Qualification of Class 1E Equipment for Nuclear Power Generating Stations). Testing also referenced ANSI/IEEE C37.98 (formerly IEEE Standard 501-1978, Seismic Testing of Relays).

The EGP, EML, and ETR series control relays have been refined through 20 years of continuous use across a wide range of industrial applications. Control relay, latching relay, and timing relay versions are available with various coil voltages, and the ETR series timing versions are equipped with internal fixed or adjustable potentiometers.
