Introduction

When power is first applied to the input terminals, the LED indicator will flash for 2 seconds, but no loads will be energized. When input switch 1 closes, the corresponding load will turn on after 5 seconds. As additional input switches close, their respective loads will also turn on. The sequencing function of the QPB becomes apparent when pump or pressure demand is satisfied and input switches begin to open. If all input switches are closed and all loads are energized, when input switch 4 opens, load 1 will turn off. The QPB sequences loads on a first-on/first-off basis to distribute runtime. If two or more loads need to be turned on simultaneously, the QPB will energize one load first, wait 5 seconds, then energize the next. This staggered starting prevents line surges. Any load can be taken out of service or disabled for future expansion by opening the corresponding relay selector switch. The QPB will sequence the remaining loads, skipping any disabled loads. When input switches close out of sequence, the alarm contact will activate. If input switch 2 closes but input switch 1 remains open, the alarm contact will close, and the QPB will operate both pumps as if input switch 1 had closed. The alarm resets automatically once the fault condition clears. When two relay selector switches are disabled, the QPB performs true duplex alternation, energizing two loads simultaneously on each activation.
