Introduction

TE Connectivity's LUMAWISE Endurance N vented receptacle complies with ANSI 136.41 photocontrol standards and accepts shorting caps and covers of varying heights. When assembled, these components provide a complete power and signal interface between the photocontrol module and the mating socket on the luminaire. This controller interface is designed for applications such as LED outdoor roadway, street, and area lighting fixtures. The receptacle assembly solution includes power twist-lock terminals, spring contact signal contacts, and a separately packaged foam gasket. When used with a 5-VA rated cover or combined with an optional side- or top-ported shorting cap, the fully assembled photocontrol device achieves an IP66 sealing rating. The LUMAWISE Endurance N control receptacle assembly features an integrated vent. The vent enables rapid pressure equalization within the sealed photocontrol device and minimizes condensation through vapor diffusion. It also prevents contaminants such as dust, dirt, and debris from entering the enclosure, which could adversely affect the performance, long-term reliability, and service life of sensitive electronics inside.
