Introduction

By popular customer demand, the 1.2" 7-segment LED backpacks are now available for purchase without the LED. These backpacks use the HT16K33 I2C LED driver and are simple to use. With the quality library provided for these backpacks, you can be up and running in half an hour. If you've been eyeing matrix displays but hesitating due to complexity, this is the solution you've been looking for. Like other LED backpacks, these can be stacked end-to-end, and by soldering the address jumpers on the back, up to 8 backpacks can share the same two I2C lines. Includes a fully tested and assembled LED backpack plus some header pins. A small amount of soldering is required to attach the header pins and display. The 1.2" 7-segment matrix display is not included, but there are plenty of options available in the store. Please note that this backpack is only guaranteed to be compatible with the displays in stock — other 1.2" 7-segment displays may not work, and no warranty is provided for those.
