Introduction

Connect RGB LED strips effortlessly — no soldering required! These clips make it incredibly simple to join two strips together, whether using an extension cable, a coupler, or a third option that conveniently connects to a power supply and controller. These clips may also work with other types of LED strips, such as single-color white strips, but some experimentation may be needed to determine the correct pin assignment and pitch.

Use a utility knife or other sharp blade to carefully remove the plastic coating from the end of the RGB LED strip. Make one cut perpendicular to the strip (like slicing bread), cutting only through the clear rubber-like plastic without cutting into the actual circuit, then make a second cut along the surface of the circuit with the blade oriented as described above. This exposes the copper pads and creates a thin elongated tab that can slide into the solderless clip.

Open the plastic cover on the clip and slide the freshly cut end of the RGB LED strip under the metal contacts inside the connector. This small coupler clip easily joins two strip segments together without disrupting the LED spacing. Close the plastic cover and you're done!
