Broadcom HSM8-C350 is a top-view SMT infrared LED in an industry-standard 3.2mm × 1.6mm package. The LED integrates an optical lens to narrow the beam's viewing angle, minimizing crosstalk and maximizing axial intensity. The narrow viewing angle enables efficient light coupling into secondary optical elements such as light guides and light pipes. With a peak wavelength of 850nm, this product is well suited for applications including home appliance remote control, smart utility metering, and light curtains in industrial automation. It is compatible with industry-standard automated pick-and-place and reflow soldering processes.
