Introduction

Each device in the OP265 and OP266 series is a high-intensity gallium aluminum arsenide (GaAlAs) infrared LED, packaged in IR-transmissive clear epoxy with either a dome or flat lens. These devices offer narrow and wide irradiation patterns along with a variety of electrical characteristics. The compact T-1 package makes these devices well suited for space-constrained applications. OP266 devices meet the requirements of the OP506 series devices specified in Bulletins 208 and 210, where additional design information and reliability (degradation) data are available.
