Introduction

Each diode in this series is housed in an end-mounting plastic package. All OP168F and OP268F devices feature a black package, while all OP269 devices feature a clear package. The OP168F devices are made of gallium arsenide (GaAs), while the OP268F and OP269 devices are made of aluminum gallium arsenide (GaAlAs). Due to their compact size, all diodes in this series offer great design flexibility. The OP168F and OP268F series are mechanically and spectrally matched to the OP508F series phototransistors and OP538F series photo Darlington transistors. The OP269 series is mechanically and spectrally matched to the OP509 series phototransistors.
