Introduction

HIS2000R-0 is a thermal infrared emitter featuring a nickel-chromium filament, housed in a TO-8 package with a gold-plated reflector. The reflector redirects radiation from the rear of the filament toward the front, nearly doubling the optical output power. This open-type emitter design delivers high performance across a wide spectral measurement range. All HISpower series emitters integrate a gold-plated reflector to maximize efficiency by directing rear radiation toward the front. All emitters exhibit extremely low drift characteristics under constant resistance operation. The infrared emitter has a very low temperature coefficient of resistance, meaning the hot resistance is nearly identical to the cold resistance, which simplifies the electrical control of the infrared source.
