Introduction
The SFH 7018A and SFH 7018B feature a high-reflectivity QFN package that significantly enhances light output. The precision dual-cavity design reduces optical crosstalk between the green chip on one side and the red and infrared chips on the other. In addition, the dual-cavity design enables optimal placement of the light sources relative to their respective photodiodes. Overall, this improves the accuracy of vital sign measurements such as heart rate and blood oxygen saturation. The SFH 7018A is optimized for low forward voltage at high drive currents, eliminating the need for a voltage boost converter in many applications.
