Introduction

This sunlight-readable 5×7 LED four-digit alphanumeric display features a 12-pin DIP package designed to display alphanumeric information. The display incorporates onboard CMOS ICs. Two CMOS ICs form an onboard 28-bit serial-input/parallel-output shift register with constant-current output LED row drivers. Decoded column data is clocked into the onboard shift register during each refresh cycle. Full character display is achieved via external column strobing.
