Adafruit loves finding cool glowing things, and this flexible silicone neon-like LED strip is particularly eye-catching. It looks like neon lighting but requires no expensive transformers, glass tubes, or inert gases. Super flexible and bendable, it's a single-color, non-addressable LED strip featuring a large chunk of translucent silicone rubber as a diffuser — stunning in appearance and easy to use to make your projects glow. The silicone housing is sturdy and water-resistant; while not guaranteed for submersion or prolonged outdoor exposure, it's suitable for outdoor projects such as wearables, bike lighting, or holiday decorations. The strip is 1 meter long with two power leads — simply apply 9V (bright) to 12V (very bright) to light it up, no soldering required. Connect it to a 12V supply via the 2.1mm DC barrel jack, or for portable use, pair it with an 8× AA battery pack using NiMH rechargeable or alkaline batteries. Note that this is NOT a "NeoPixel" LED strip — it can only be switched on or off as a whole; individual LEDs cannot be controlled independently or change color.
