Introduction

These solid-state display devices are designed and tested for harsh industrial environment applications. Character height is 7.4 mm. Numeric and hexadecimal devices integrate an onboard IC containing data memory, decoder, and display driver functions. Numeric devices decode positive BCD logic to characters "0–9", minus sign "−", decimal point, and test pattern. Hexadecimal devices decode positive BCD logic to 16 characters "0–9, A–F". Hexadecimal devices provide an input for blanking the display without losing memory contents. Over-range devices display "±1" and a right-hand decimal point, typically driven by an external switching transistor.
