Introduction

This new side-emitting LED strip is an excellent choice for users who have loved and used Adafruit LED strips for years but want beautiful, soft light emitted at a 90-degree angle. It is very slim, can be laid along narrow edges, and bent around shapes and corners. These strips are ideal for accent lighting, backlighting, edge lighting, and similar applications. This is the 120 LEDs-per-meter version of the side-emitting strip. We also offer black flexible PCB versions with 60 and 90 LEDs per meter. The strip is made from flexible black PCB material with a waterproof jacket. It can be easily cut with wire cutters. Cut lines are marked on the strip. Simply solder to the 0.1-inch copper pads to use. Of course, you can also connect multiple strip segments together to increase length — just be mindful of the required current draw. These strips are available in 1-meter reels with a 2-pin JST SM connector at each end. To connect these strips, we recommend using JST SM plug and socket cables for the signal lines. For power lines, you may also need to wire in a 2.1mm DC jack to connect our 5V wall adapter for power.
