Introduction

For advanced NeoPixel enthusiasts, here is a flexible 16x16 NeoPixel RGB LED matrix. Control all 256 ultra-bright LEDs via a single microcontroller pin, with the ability to set each LED individually for scrolling text or simple image display. Built on a thick flexible PCB substrate, it can be gently bent to conform to curved surfaces. This matrix works like any other NeoPixel-compatible product. Note that with all LEDs set to full white brightness, the 256 LEDs may draw over 15A (which we strongly advise against, as we believe the flexible PCB cannot handle such current). Keep current consumption below 5A where possible — our 5V 4A or 5V 10A power supplies are suitable options. For portable applications drawing less than 3A, consider using this 5V@3A UBEC. If you prefer a 4:1 aspect ratio, we also offer the flexible NeoPixel matrix in 8x32 format. Note: flexible PCBs are not designed for repeated bending! While this product may be suitable for wearables or other applications requiring a curved matrix, no warranty or refunds are provided if LEDs or traces break as a result. This product is intended for advanced users who already understand how to use NeoPixels, are familiar with their high current requirements, and can properly protect the matrix from damage.
