Introduction

This device uses single-wire communication to transmit signals in return-to-zero code format. After power-on reset is complete, the device receives data from the DIN pin. Once all 24 bits of data have been received, the IC stops accepting data and the DOUT port begins forwarding the data to the next chip as its input. Prior to data forwarding, the DOUT pin remains low. The three PWM output ports OUTR, OUTG, and OUTB drive duty cycle outputs at a period of 0.6ms based on the previously received 24-bit data. If a reset code is received on the DIN pin, the device drives the most recently received 24-bit data for display. After the reset code completes, the device begins receiving new 24-bit data. When the 24-bit data reception is complete, the device forwards the data via the DOUT pin. The outputs of the OUTR, OUTG, and OUTB pins remain unchanged until a reset signal is received. Upon receiving a low-level reset code lasting longer than 80μs, the device drives the duty cycle output corresponding to the most recently received 24-bit data. The device employs automatic reshaping and forwarding technology, so the number of cascaded chips is not limited by signal transmission constraints — only by the panel refresh rate. For example, in a 1024-chip cascade design, the panel refresh time is 1024×3×8×1.25μs = 30ms, with no flickering.
