Introduction

WS2812E - 2427 is an intelligent externally-controlled LED light source with integrated control circuit and light-emitting circuit, where each component represents one pixel. Each pixel incorporates a smart digital interface, data latch signal reshaping and amplification drive circuit, high-precision internal oscillator, and programmable constant-current control section to ensure high color consistency. The data protocol uses single-wire return-to-zero (RZ) communication. After power-on reset, the DIN port receives data from the controller; 24-bit data is extracted by the first pixel and stored in the data latch, while the remaining data is reshaped, amplified, and forwarded to the next cascaded pixel via the DO port — each pixel reduces the signal by 24 bits. With automatic reshaping and forwarding technology, the number of cascaded pixels is limited only by signal transmission speed. The port scan frequency reaches up to 2KHz with no flicker under high-definition camera capture, making it suitable for high-speed moving products. The RESET time is 280μs or above, preventing false resets during interrupts and supporting lower-frequency, more cost-effective MCUs. The LED features low-voltage drive, environmental friendliness and energy efficiency, high brightness, wide dispersion angle, excellent consistency, low power consumption, and ultra-long lifespan. With the control circuit integrated within the LED, the overall circuit is simpler, more compact, and easier to install.
