Introduction

The LK404-25 is an intelligent alphanumeric LCD designed to reduce development time by providing an out-of-the-box solution for any project. RS232, TTL, and I²C protocols enable the LK404-25 to interface with a wide range of host controllers. Serial protocol communication speeds up to 115.2kbps and I²C protocol speeds up to 100kbps ensure extremely fast display updates. A straightforward command structure allows easy software control of backlight brightness, screen contrast, baud rate, and more. Onboard memory supports up to forty custom characters that can be stored on the device and used for startup screens, bar graphs, or large digits. The LK404-25 accepts user input via a 5×5 matrix keypad, while six general-purpose outputs provide simple switchable 5V power. Additionally, a Dallas OneWire interface option supports communication with up to 32 devices. This versatile LK404-25 combines all of the above features with multiple color, voltage, and temperature options, making it suitable for virtually any application.
