Introduction

Depending on the operating mode, these devices emit highly concentrated visible light that may be hazardous to the human eye. Products incorporating these devices must comply with the safety precautions in IEC 60825-1 (Safety of Laser Products). Do not expose eyes or skin directly or through optical lenses to any laser. Wear appropriate safety eyewear when handling laser diodes. These laser diodes are designed in terms of production and quality as consumer products, particularly for applications such as computers, measuring equipment, machine tools, audiovisual equipment, and household appliances. Do not use this product in equipment requiring extremely high reliability and safety with respect to functionality and accuracy. Operating laser diodes beyond the maximum ratings, even for a very short period, may damage the laser diodes or shorten their service life. Laser diodes must be powered by a suitable power supply with minimum electrical noise. When using this product, operate within the maximum ratings and observe the other instructions, conditions, and precautions described in this datasheet.
