Introduction
The Broadcom AFBR-5972Z transceiver enables system designers to implement Fast Ethernet (100 Mb/s) over standard bandwidth 0.5±0.05 numerical aperture (NA) plastic optical fiber (POF). It features a compact design with a form factor similar to UTP connectors. The transceiver utilizes the new compact duplex Versatile Link connector AFBR-4526Z and is compatible with existing simplex Versatile Link connectors. The product is lead-free and RoHS compliant.
