Introduction

Firecomms DC to 5 MBd dual supply voltage RedLink® receiver is based on a fully integrated photodiode incorporating a transimpedance amplifier and limiting amplifier. The receiver is housed in a non-conductive plastic RedLink® connector body, colored blue. The housing is compatible with Versatile Link style fiber optic plugs and is primarily designed for plastic optical fiber. The receiver operates equally from standard 3.3V and 5V DC supply voltages, with an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C, supporting many industrial applications requiring reliable command and control response in electrically harsh environments. The receiver employs monolithic silicon integrated photodetection and amplification, enhancing immunity to local ambient EMI/EMC, making it well suited for electrically noisy applications. The receiver features a single push-pull logic output compatible with TTL/CMOS.
