Introduction

Firecomms DC - 50 MBd RedLink receiver is a fully integrated photodiode and receiver IC. The receiver is housed in a compact package and is compatible with plug-terminated plastic optical fiber (POF) or 200μm plastic-clad silica (PCS) fiber. When paired with a suitable transmitter, the receiver can transmit digital signals at 50 Mbps over optical fiber and operates over a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. The device can be powered by a 5V or 3.3V DC supply and can withstand ±10% supply variation. The receiver is a robust optical-to-electrical receiver with integrated pulse width distortion minimization circuitry for reliable data transmission. The receiver features push-pull TTL-compatible CMOS output, available in both inverting and non-inverting options.
