Introduction

The WC-PD25C012T PoE (Power over Ethernet) module is designed to extract power from Power Sourcing Equipment via standard Cat5e/Cat6 twisted-pair Ethernet cables. The module input complies with IEEE802.3AT signature detection and classification standards, pre-configured as a Type 2 Class 4 device, allowing the module to draw Class 4 power from Power Sourcing Equipment with a rated output voltage of 12V. The high-efficiency DC/DC converter achieves approximately 87% efficiency, operates over a wide input voltage range, and delivers low-ripple, low-noise output. The DC/DC converter also features built-in output overload and output short-circuit protection, with a 1500Vdc (input/output) isolation barrier.
