Introduction

The MN-3254(T) is an I/O expansion device for the Motionnet system, equipped with 16 isolated digital input channels and 16 isolated digital output channels. Up to 64 modules can be connected to each Motionnet communication line, allowing I/O expansion of up to 1024 input channels and 1024 output channels. The communication time required per MN-325x is 15.1 microseconds. With 64 modules connected, signals across 2048 points on all 64 modules can be transmitted and received within 0.97 ms. I/O status updates are performed automatically at fixed intervals by the Motionnet system. By configuring interrupts for specific input points to be monitored, CPU time wasted on repeated polling during idle processes can be avoided. Each input port can be configured as NPN or PNP (22 ~ 24 V), and the internal flywheel diode of each output port can be connected to different power supplies independently (each port consists of 8 I/O signals).
